#163: Who’s Going to Win... Your Insecurity or Your Truth with Mallory Rowan

Our insecurity has the power to sometimes overpower our truth.

We can take a small moment or conversation that is otherwise meaningless, but we can often use it to reinforce our existing beliefs. Our insecurity is faster than the truth we know within us, so just know that your insecurity will get triggered faster than the deep knowing truth that is slower to respond.

This is why paying attention to our emotions is so important, especially on social media where we don’t see the full context of everyone and can feel like they are perfect and we are doing life wrong. It’s important to notice our insecurities flare up and to not let them take over how we feel about ourselves for the rest of the day.

All of our strengths have a shadow side – our organization can also manifest into white knuckling our business and us showing up consistently online can manifest into workaholic tendencies. Always remember that we only see one slice of who someone is online. We are not machines or robust, so give yourself grace to follow your own path, knowing that you will get to your destination in the way and time that you are meant to get there.
